Specialties
Crave Health is a practice that welcomes anyone for any nutritional reason. Overall health and wellness, weight loss, sports nutrition, high cholesterol, etc are all great reasons to schedule an appointment with Ashley. However, Ashley also has several specialties that she works with outside of general health and wellness. It is important that you find a dietitian that has experience in a specific specialty or disease state if you are seeking help for one. If Ashley does not specialize in what you’re looking for, she will know a dietitian who does and can refer you on.
Eating Disorders and Disordered Eating
Clinical eating disorders such as anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa and binge eating disorder as well as emotional eating or other disordered eating type behaviors or patterns.
Ashley works with high-needs clients coming directly out of a treatment program as well as those who need “tune-ups” after being in recovery for months or years. If you suspect that you or someone you care about might have an eating disorder, Ashley can help determine the proper care or further treatment you may need. In order to work with Ashley you must also be actively checking in with a medical doctor. If you do not have a doctor that you work with, Ashley knows plenty of doctors in the area that also specialize in disordered eating care. Working with a counselor or therapist may also be necessary.
Pediatrics and Adolescents
Ashley has specialty training from one of the top 10 children’s hospitals in the country, Vanderbilt University Children’s Hospital (Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital) in Nashville, Tennessee. Celiac Disease, Pediatric Obesity and Overweight, and Eating Disorders are just a few of the pediatric sub-specialties.

Nutrition and Pregnancy
Before becoming an RD, Ashley worked in a high-risk obstetrics office with high-risk pregnant mothers (multiples, advanced maternal age, etc). Weight gain, nutritional deficiencies, gestational diabetes, nutritional preparation before pregnancy, and weight loss after pregnancy are some of the things we can help you with.
